Are you bored with your mobile phones/smartphones/tablets and thinking to sell it out. So here is caution below why you should not sell your smart gadgets to someone else. From the purchase date we are fond of clicking pictures of our family, girlfriends, wife and many others. The photos or videos snapped in your phone can be intimate, which you would not like to share with anyone else. So why i am telling you this because when you will sell your phone, obviously you will delete those photos or videos or your chat history or browsing history.So why i am suggesting to not sell you phone when you already have deleted or formatted your phone before selling.
Guyz believe me their are many ways that your personal data can be compromised by others. There are many ways to recover your data from formatted phone and can be misused by the purchaser. Many photos, videos or the MMS leaked on illegals sexual content websites are recovered from such phones. The owner of the phone don't even have a clue that such things can happen or such bad can happen with him. Nobody you can blame for such instances. Their are many recovery software's free as well as paid. Paid versions are more strong software's which can recover even the oldest or most corrupted data from your gadget. If you don't believe me than do it your self (Do it at your own risk), format your phone or tablet and download free recovery software from www.recuva.com. The software is open source software and easy to use. You can watch my tutorial on youtube for recovery of data from phones or hard disk. Install and recover your data. You will be surprised with the results and will not think to sell your phone or laptop or any gadgets again. Above was about your personal photos and videos. What if your bank account gets empty due to your negligence while selling your phone. What if they recover passwords of online banking accounts or payment apps.
Here are few tips to do before selling your phone, if you so badly want to sell it :
1. First delete your data using applications like shred it, swipe or file shredder. Many more apps are available in the google play store. Watch out the specifications of the apps and use accordingly.
2. After the format is done do the hard reset of the phone or reset factory settings. It will erase all the data in the phone memory.
3. After the format is done again fill the memory of phone with irrelevant data or random data which you think is less important for you. Now again performer the steps 1 and 2 mentioned above. Do this steps 1 to 3 two to three times to secure your data leakage. The filling of the memory overrides the previous data and make it thought to recover by third party.
So i hope you will do your homework before selling your gadgets which contain personal data.
